Dean has over 30 years of leadership experience in Fortune 500, FTSE 100, mid-cap, and start-up enterprises. He has coached executives and built teams across Asia, Africa, Europe, and the Americas. Now based in Ireland, he has previously been based in the UK, Switzerland, France, and throughout the USA.

His multi-industry experience, including electronics, technology, chemicals, consumer goods, food ingredients, and cybersecurity has provided him with a solid understanding of the operational and strategic business challenges facing a broad range of companies. 

As a former Chief Human Resource Officer and member of several international executive teams, Dean has a broad range of capabilities well suited to supporting the continuous improvement of leaders and their teams in complex international environments. Dean is singularly focused on delivering positive results for his clients. His style is informal and direct.

Among his many achievements, Dean has:

  • led CEO and executive-team development and succession planning, in partnership with management and Board members of public companies.

  • designed, built, and implemented comprehensive, measurable company-wide talent strategies and systems, including during major acquisitions.

  • transformed global HR teams to help them become more productive and effective at delivering real business outcomes. Dean has coached and advised many HR leaders and other executives who are committed to creating high-performance, inclusive cultures.

  • worked closely with Boards, “C” suite, and local leadership teams to improve agility, alignment, and performance. Improvement actions are always backed by rigorous analysis and assessment prior to any interventions.

  • Dean has served as an Advisory Board member to Hackett Group and multiple start-up companies. He has been a member of the Conference Board’s Chief HR Officer Council and Talent Council and the Manufacturers’ Association for Productivity and Innovation.
